Default Value of a C4S Roller

Wondering what you guys think the value of a low mileage C4S roller in very good condition would be. Assume all stock, w/ tiptronic.

I figure rollers for C2 and C4s go from $5K - $8K, with $6K being what I see the most, so a C4S being more rare would be more like $8-10K? Yes, no?

Thoughts?

A C4S is hardly rare. I could see it bringing maybe an extra grand. It also depends on who wants the roller and why. Most people who track cars and are looking for a roller would want a C2. The C4S may look nice with those fat hips, but it also creates more weights. Tiptronics also hit the low end of the price bracket. Are you the buyer or the seller?

$10k for a roller? You can buy runners for $10K. Sure, they'll only run for a week, but...

I wouldn't pay any more for a C4S with a Tip than a '99 C4 with a stick.

IMO a roller is a roller. I agree with the extra grand for the 4S. But we're talking serious dough to make her a runner again and with values of these cars being what they are - it's not worth a serious investment for a wide body when we start talking high-mile Turbo dollars. Just my two, probably wrong cents.

I would think more than a grand. The gap on the two cars if identical would be more than a 1000. Are the brakes and suspension the same? What are using the car for?

It doesn't matter, first it's a less desirable TIP, second it's going to cost an arm and a leg to rebuild the motor properly and your total investment most likely will be out of wack vs buying one that is running.
$10K roller plus $15K budget build = $25K and it's still a TIP.

There's a very fine line when taking on a project like this and not many people have the skills or ***** to do it themselves.

A roller is a buyer's market not a seller's market because the amount of work involved. That always depresses prices.
