Default Help with Silver Interior Paint Match

Anybody know what the nearest paint match is to the silver used by Porsche for interior their parts ???

I’d like to repaint the bonnet release catches on my 996 with a paint I can get off the shelf, from Halfords in the UK, or somewhere like that.

Cheers,

SP

You might try asking Eric at bumperplugs, since they do that kind of work...

You might try www.paintscratch.com They have Porsche colors in spray, among others.

while kinda cheasy hobby stores have a plethora of cans that are pretty close, that is actually how I did my parts in my interior and then clearcoated them. They're pretty close, it's just all about using the right brand and color- I originally bought the paint just for coating my tail light blinkers but the color was so close I said screw it and went nutz.

Sean,

How is the spray + clearcoat holding up? I've been thinking of trying the same thing on my center console but thought it might be easy to scratch up.

If I knew it would hold up alright I'd probably go ahead and try it.

The funny thing is that it is holding up great! I absolutely thought that it would peel, crack and the like but it is basically perfect. Who would have figured huh? I again did this on a whim while doing "homemade silvervision bulbs" and if I did it again or whatever I would spring for the correct paint in the can as noted previously as long as it is not abhorently expensive.

oh, I just took out the orange bulbs and lightly sprayed them with the silver paint just misting them. I have the clear tail lights in the rear. The effect kills thelook of the orange light in the bucket- definitely a worthwhile mod. Just only do a speckled light spray though-

We do the interior parts all day, every day. There are some particular steps necessary in preparation and sealing before any painting is done, so our parts come out glossy and completed with our 14-stage finish, as an exact factory match to the exterior or to alumalook, as ordered.

We do all parts, other than carpet and leather.
