Default Help identify this short shifter

My came with a short shift kit. I like the throw length, but it's pretty sloppy. The white plastic bushings at the front and back of the shifter have a lot of play. I'm hoping I can just replace the bushings and wanted to track down the manufacturer to get the parts. The shifter stalk is printed with a logo that looks like "MEC" or maybe "QMEC". Googling doesn't find anything relevant. Has anyone seen this shift kit? If not, will another manufacturer's bushing likely fit?

Here are some pics:

I've had similar bushings machined at local machine shops, IIRC it cost me like 40 bucks each...
WOuld be interesting to have copies made out of Sintered Bronze.. they would never wear out..

@pdxmotorhead what material did you use for the bushings you had machined?

Delrin was what I used, was for a shifter for a Boat. Not quite as fancy as a porsche shifter but the delrin was way better than the original cheesy plastic the boat one had.

Ben's kit is made up from a generic shifter like this and he adds proper bearings to it. I'd reach out to him to see if he would sell you just the bearing kit. Just do a search for "Ben's shifter" and you'll find him. He's a member here as well as over at the 986 forum.
