Default Tool kit "threaded rod to hold the wheel" mesurements

Hi

I would like to know the dimensions (dia., lenght and thread if possible) of the threaded rod that we can found in the tool kit.
Im missing this piece in my tool kit and would like to fabricate my own instead of buying a complete kit.
My car is now in storage and I completely forgot to take mesurements of the thread and diameter of the wheel holes..

Thanks!

You can buy the wheel guide bolt from places like Sunset Porsche for about $10. Buy two.....as it keeps the wheel from rotating, and you won't nick your calipers.

I've never had to use mine and my wheels have been off and on several times...

You don't have to use them - just a precautionary action to prevent dinging the calipers.

I ordered the parts!
I'm sure it will definitely make the job easier for a skinny guy like me.
In fact its not that the wheels are so heavy but the width of the rear wheels make the job of removing and installing more difficult.
I'm under the impression I will be able to "slide" the wheels on the guide pins ,If it can handle the weight, and install it already aligned.

Thanks for your inputs everyone!

Default Tool

I had always wondered what the tool was for until a friend of mine with a Boxster showed me. What a difference in how easy it is now or install the wheel and line up the wheel bolts!
