Parking lights question
On my 2002 c4s the parking light on the actual headlight did not work, right side. So I pop out the head light and put in bulb from the left side to see if bulb. Doesn’t work. I then put the working bulb back on the left side. Now that is not working. H6wu is the bulb. headlights work (low and high), side markers work. Any suggestions?
i must say I do like the way the main electrical connector on the headlight unit just slides into connector on body. No prying stuff apart.

Miracle, I bought two new bulbs yesterday ($22 wow) popped in and they both work. Maybe the good one that I swapped to the bad side got broken during the transfer.
I'll probably regret writing this but this car has been so easy to own. My 00 Boxster S that I had for almost 5 years was trouble free too. Hopefully this trend continues. Loving the water cooled thing.
I had a 77 911 Carrera 3.0 that always had issues. The 911 was about 23 years old when I got it. The Boxster was about 16 and the 996 17 years old so I am not talking much difference in age.
The strange thing was I sold the 911 to a guy in Miami. He flew up to MA in February, jumped in and drove home. Sold it to him for $9,500 so I assume he did okay.

Good job. Save yourself the headache for next time, just buy a cheap mutlimeter or a test light and learn to use it. This will take out any of the guessing when the electrons stop flowing.

Funny I have one and just don't know how to check things other than if the alternator is charging.
I have started reading a book again I bought ten years go when I had electrical gremlins with another car. Laying in bed, the wife says "didn't you start that book 10 years ago". I keep trying. I am a 1/3 of the way through and determined. I need to watch a good video on my how to use a multi meter too.
I do know Voltage = Amps X Resistance so I am at least trying.
