Thanks for the reply! Any heat related issues pop up while on track?
I did not run it on the track in July and August due to my work schedule, but the last track day I ran was 90+ degrees and sunny, making for a hot sticky track. Temperature gauge did move up a little above where it normally would be, but no issues. I did buy a third radiator kit, but haven't installed it yet.
I bought my car in april of this year, it had 102K miles on it. today it has 104,100, 5 months later. I put 10K into it with new leather recover in oem matching leather, had to replace the sun visor mirror covers, they broke and fell off, that was 100.00 per side. had the IMS bearing , RMS seal, A/O separator done, that was expensive at 4500.00. had to buy a new key since one of the ones the dealer gave me only worked for a week then battery dead... after 3 batteries bought a new one, almost 400.00 there. then drivers side window quit working, cost me 600 for a new window regulator installed by the dealer, had a clear bra put on, 2K there. more recently have a problem with the snowflake switch not working correctly, (I have a post on this forum for that, you can check that out if you like). today I have a bad idle issue, pulled the MAF and it runs a lot better, so that will cost up to 500.00 for a new part there. The car is guards red, and looks spectacular, unfortunately, I cant enjoy it because its in a shop somewhere all the time. the only really good part about all this is the Macan customer courtesy vehicle the dealer gives out every time... and the air conditioned seats... OMG they are wonderful in AZ in the summer....much better than all the hot air I get blown up my A$$ all the time....
my service guy told me this would be cheaper to maintain than my 2000 boxter... and on that car I had to deal with EVERY porsche design flaw you see on youtube. EVERY ONE!!! most of the stuff I fixed myself because it was winter time in AZ, right now its like an inferno out there... the dealer has air conditioned service bays for those lucky techs!! Of course your luck and experience with the brand will not be like this. you will get a good one and be very happy..... I am thinking I will one day be very happy too when someone takes the keys and drives away with it....
As far as issues goes, thats it so far, but the day is not over yet...
