Default Front plate installation

Purchased the kit from suncoast and can not determine what the white expanding nuts are for. The holes in my bumper are square. To me it looks like I just need to snap the black spacers in each side, line the bracket up and screw it in causing the black spacers to expand and hold themselves in the bumper. Anyone used this kit from suncoast and can shed some light on it?

Thanks

The square part of the white plastic nut goes into the square hole in the bumper. When you tighten a screw into it, the plastic spreads and locks it into place.

Perhaps the white and black parts are for alternate mounting options. Some kits fit multiple vehicles.

This is for the front though. The black spacers also have the square expanding part on the back. The only thing I can think is this is a general plate mounting kit for either front or back (although on suncoast it does state FRONT). If you were mounting on the back you would use the white nuts as the back plate area is flat, but mounting on the front you use the spacers which are shaped to fit the curves of the front bumper. I just don't want to snap the black spacers in the bumper then realize I missed a step and have it be a pain to get them out. Thought maybe someone on here has used the kit from suncoast before.
