Thats a good question how many different kinds of white and total count.
We all talk perecentage of the 5 different colors of blues or reds cars, but not much about white.

I was picking up some parts in northern New Jersey for my car, about 4 or 5 years ago, and there was a 996.2 Aero, pure white, red leather, white roll bar and BBS chrome wheels, lowered about an inch, just a great color combination, very classy.
Wow what a great looking car. Never saw owner it was parked at a shop.

Depends on quality of wrap, how long it was on and the condition of the paint it was wrapped on.

There's a local (to me, New England) white on black 99 C2 from CA with 175k miles and a rebuilt by 911 Design engine with 90mm pistons (3.6L?) near me thats been for sale for a while, $14,500. Saw it marked down to $13,500 at one point.

I'm an original owner of an 04 c4s cab with 50,000 miles on it and was thinking about having it repainted.

I was wondering if it would affect the value or if I should just have it touched up and wet sanded?

A quality paint job would improve its value but you may not get it all back. These aren't collector cars.

20 years ago my 69 911T sold for 5500 and I was lucky to get it..

I just saw a bare metal tub for over $25K.. Never say never..
Find one for under about 50 these days and its trashed.

If you've got 20 years to wait, great...I don't!

I'd approach it as if I were the buyer looking at two cars - yours as it currently sits, and the hypothetical "other car" being yours if it had an immaculate showroom-new respray. Would you pay the same or more for the latter?

I know I would, personally, but I admit I don't think a quality $10k full paint job adds $10k of value, it just wouldn't hurt value is all.

I just got my 03 C4S (black) back yesterday from the shop, having had the front bumper, front panels, front hood, and rear bumper all repainted. I really should have done the whole thing, but the doors and body I can probably get close with a good detail. It looks like a different car. My front bumper had some pretty serious chipping, the hood had two popped-up dents (from the previous owner putting something too big in the frunk) that got smoothed out, had the front right/left panels resprayed to match, and then the rear bumper had already been redone before I got it, but was a pretty rough job, and had 1-2 small bubbles in it that were getting bigger, so did that as well. Not posting how much I paid, but it wasn't too bad. Also the headlights got a good scrubbing and that dropped the age on my car 5 years easy as they were pretty cloudy.
As someone said, you might not get all your $ back, but I plan to keep this at least another 2 years, and as my daily driver, I'd much rather spend the $ and be proud of it and showing up at PCA events with this now. I'd avoided them in the past lol.
