Default Leather conditioner recommendations.

I’ve been using 3D LVP cleaner and then 3D leather conditioner on my seats and dash. I’m worried that it’s drying out the leather. What have you been using?

I’ve been using Lexol for 20yrs or more. Not saying it’s the best, but have always been satisfied. If you buy it, look for the old orange bottle (cleaner) and lighter brown (conditioner), apparently the new stuff is made in China (not Marietta, GA) and folks report it’s not as good. Sounds like I might be looking for a new brand sooner than later.

Happy Leatherique user here. The conditioner works best in heat so now is the perfect time to work on moisturizing some hide.

I like Leatherique for more restoration type work and Lexol for more frequent usage.

That’s been my experience as well. Refurbed the seats in my e30 with Leatherique, and was chuffed with the result. I may get more of their conditioner if the new Lexol blows.

-former leatherique user. I find Obenhauf’s does the same thing for a fraction of the price. Look the stuff up, it is excellent.

Could always do a restorative product and then put some sort of leather coating on it. I coated a clients white Tesla leather with Cquartz Leather and they just wiped clean with a damp towel when I did a maintenance detail for him.

Custom-Color leather softener is the best product I've ever used on leather seats. Google Custom Color.

As a detailer...
Lexol works well, Griots works well

You can always go old school and use saddle soap

I've been using and recommend Leather Honey, both cleaner and the Honey. Use cleaner, then apply Honey and leave overnight. Once a year works for me.
