I am new to Porsche, just picked up a 40AE car last Christmas. Been a BMW guy for the past 20 years - driving schools, AutoXes, etc.
The car came with a wing that I am trying to identify, hoping someone here has some idea. I have the original spoiler as well that is going back on the car, so this one will be off the car. Trying to figure out if it would be worth anything in the marketplace.
Depending on the location of the air intake, it is either a 996.2 Aerokit or a 996.2 GT3 wing (or aftermarket copy).
If the air intake hole on the underside of the lid is on the left (drivers side) it is the aerokit (or an aftermarket copy) and if it is on the right (passenger side), it is a GT3 wing.
I'm guessing aftermarket: it looks like yours only replaces the motorized wing portion of the decklid, not the entire decklid.
Yes, they are desirable, if original equipment
and with a matched front bumper and sideskirts to balance the aerodynamics.

Curios to know if you managed to identify the origins of this specific 996.2 aftermarket wing. I have the same on my car, noting it is not a 1-piece with the deck lid as OEM. I’ve spent ample time searching and cannot find another instance of one aside from your post.
