Guys,
This question pertains to my other car, not my Porsche, but I ask here because the comparable Mercedes owner's website is far less useful when info is needed. My CLK coupe has a small lip(spoiler) on the trunk lid and has somehow become slightly unattached at one end so I am looking to re-attach with a proper adhesive. Is there something specific anyone could recommend to serve this purpose? I am guessing the spoiler is fiberglass but I don't know what glue is best suited. Help!

3M makes a trim adhesive that I've used in jobs like this. It comes in a tube. It's a black goopy adhesive.

I've used the same stuff to attach small spoilers, gurney flaps, etc, but I found it worked better during a new install where you can put it full length, rather than a spot repair to an existing installed part.

my Benz E350 did the same thing on one side, use the 3M double sided tape and raised the spoiler slightly and slipped in a piece. been a year and still holding strong.

I've never used any sort of glue or spray adhesive but its a fairly simple job. Get some fishing line and a heat gun or hair dryer, heat it up and take it off. Clean off the glue with 3M Adhesive Remover and then apply a new strip of 3M Double Sided Tape and reapply. I am sure the adhesive would work fine as a spot fix but I just haven't personally used it.
