SOP...

What did you expect?

My only experience is with a Sunbeam Tiger and that's just the way it is.

Be glad you didn't op for the Targa, then you have rattles, sqeaks and wet cockpit.

There is a detailed TSB on different hardtop squeaks and solutions; go to renntech.org and Loren will help you out ...

Huh? I guess your talking about an 89 Targa or something, the new ones are incredible...are you having trouble with yours? Maybe you left it open in the rain

If you keep the windshield header gasket and the pins lubricated well, the squeaks will go away. Spray silicone spray on the windshield header gasket, and some lithium grease on the pins. Porsche even recommends wrapping the back pins in teflon tape (pipe anti-seize tape). These 2 items will get rid of 95% of the noise.

Welcome to being a Porsche owner!

I have absolutely no problems of this ilk, squeak, rattles, with my 78 Targa but I have heard many complaints about the newer glass-top style Targa.

Oh, in the rain my 78 does leak but having owned a few convertibles I can accept the inevitable.

And no 1 answer is... Don't drive in Brooklyn...
But seriously, lubrication and make sure the top is flush with the body
