Default What is this?

I took the door panel off this morning to test microswitches and see what is causing the window issue.

This fell out of the door when lifting off the door panel.

It says Sidler on it

Says 1381

And the window, goes down the 10mm when pulling the handle (both), but goes back up when you release the handle. I tried resetting the window a few times and it didnt solve the issue.

Damn it, I'm having same issue. When I go to close the door the window raises up again before it makes contact with the door well. Then the door is sort of half closed.

My indy wants to replace the door lock actuator (only $638 parts and labor!)

Although both inside and outside handles will cause the window to lower, I do have to double pump the internal handle to get the door window to lower and the door to open. Are you having that as well?

Not the double pump of the handle, that sounds like maybe unlocking the door the first time and opening the second.

As soon as I release the handle, the window goes back up. I read there is a microswitch that when staying in the "closed" position, it acts if the door is closed at all times. From what I read as well, you cant buy just the switch, but some are able to repair it or buy another manufacturer's similar item.
Being that it's both handles, I am guessing it's not the switch at either handle and the one noting if door is open/closed.

Dejeeper is correct, these are used for that “soft close” resistance on ashtrays, glove boxes, and door pockets. If you look closely at the hinge area you will find where it clips back in, look for a gear tooth edge to ride against the wheel

One piece looks to be a quarter of the US dollar. The other piece...no clue!

Awesome, thanks.
I will look into that this evening.
