Default Help! What is this clear tube with a plastic fitting coming from the Heater

While resolving a water in the carpet from a leaking sunroof seal, I took out the passenger dash under panel and this tube dropped out. It's attached to the heater box, but I have no idea what it is, or where the other end gets attached to.

The plastic part is supposed to be collecting water, which is supposed to then run down the tube. Looking for a drain schematic for you.

I see the AC drain plug, this is attached to the same heater box but I can't see where it might attach, and I think it was loose, to begin with.

What does the other side of the black plastic thing look like on the loose end of the hose? Can you take a more zoomed out pic of where it attaches to the box?

Hard to get the whole thing in one shot. But that is where it connects. The condensate drain is to the left. It's not in this image from the Pelican DIY on how to change the blower motor https://cdn4.pelicanparts.com/techar...mall/pic04.jpg

I looked at a couple on Ebay that don't have that hose either. If someone added it, the big question is why and what was it for?

You're looking at the adapter for an aftermarket "evaporator cleaning" kit. The black plastic thing at the tail end fits to an aerosol can, and is used to inject the foaming cleaning agent into the evap box.

That's awesome - couldn't figure out why the tubing was the wrong color, nor the funky fittings on either end.
