Hardtop Wanted!
Thanks for reading...I already posted in the market-place... but thought I may get more responses here (i'm already scouring eBay & Craigslist)
I'm looking to purchase a hard-top for a glacier white over metropol blue '99 996 C2 cab. It has delete option code but receiver hardware is in place.
Order of preference for color:
1. Glacier White
2. Black
3. Blue (that resembles Metropol Blue interior color without beige or light headliner)
I have the earlier mounting hardware installed (bayonet style not screw-in).
On the east coast preferably.
Pic of my car:

Took me 2 years to find a matching top at a decent price relatively local. They seem to show up in So Cal on a semi regular basis, but unless you are up for a road trip, shipping will be crazy expensive

I spent months looking at EBAY. I agree most are found in california. After several months i found 1 in south florida (i live in orlando) for $800.00.... i offered 400 and the person responded @ 500.00.....wasnt the right color so i had tonhave it painted. Luckily the owner purchased her car new, took the top off when she got home and never put it on the car again.when i took it to the paint shop they charged 300 to paint it the color of my car.
Dont rush it. You will find a stupid crazy deal.

Thanks for the moral support guys!
kicking myself as I had a lead on one 2 years ago that I couldn’t follow up on because of unexpected work travel. It was perfect, body color and cheap.
There is a white one I’ve seen listed for sale recently but seller can’t seem to tell if it’s Glacier white or Grand Prix white and the pics are inconclusive.
However I am quite into a ‘two - tone’ install as a stop gap.

I thought about the 2 tone look. Ive seen some grey cabs with soft red tops. I thought it looked ok. Even when i bought the top i thought about not painting it. After i did i cant believe i ever thought about not painting it.

Another good search site is car-part.com they are a search for junk yards nation wide. Put in any model year 996 and search for convertable top. Then it will ask you if your looking for soft or hard top. May find a salvage yard in your area that has one.

I don't think there are a lot of white hardtops out there, so you will probably have to get one painted. I hope you find one at a reasonable price.

It took me months and a lot of searching to find one in Ocean Blue Metallic with gray interior for my 99'. For me it was worth the wait for the factory color, rather than a repaint. And the drive from Southern California to Scottsdale Arizona was more of a bonus than a chore. Pick a geographical range you're willing to drive and start looking on Craigslist and eBay regularly. One will pop up, and then you'll have a fun excuse for a road trip. Best of luck with the search.

That looks good. Might look good on the white car too.
