Thinking about changing up my Targa
Love my paint (Midnight Blue Metallic), but have been thinking for a long time to have some lines laid on it, I struggle to decide what.
There's local guy (NHRA Hall of Famer) that has done work for me in the past and I'd love him to lay some lines on it to make it a little different.
He always has his own thoughts and ideas but likes to understand what you thinking.
I'm thinking about the following test lines along with removing the TARGA logo and replacing it with Aluminum leaf and drop shadow/airbrush.
I've laid some 3M stripes on it to get an idea.
Thoughts?
Mike
Not straight but you get the idea
Body line possibly but this on the glass
Same

Doesn't look bad. Have you thought about taking the lines from the center of the hood out to the outside at the base of the windshield and having them meet up with the lines down the side? Make them flow together.

yes,
That's what I planned, its just not easy with tape to keep it 1/4 off the base line and put in a curve.

Not in a million years would I consider putting lines and flakes on a beautiful rare color (and rare in general Targa) It is your car something totally up to you though. You can see swirls in the paint I would get a paint correction. That color looks so good after its paint corrected and sealed.

Neat idea.
The gold looks good with midnight blue.
But I think I would drop it down onto the paint and not above on the window.
That reminds me of the striping I put on several people's cars back in the 80s.
Also, I might remove the Targa, and leave it blank.
...and YES, you need a paint correction from someone who knows what they're doing first.
It would look SO much better.

It's orange and yeah, I noticed the swirls when removing it from winter storage.
Time to get out the Griot's polisher , it's hard to keep up on 4 cars. , 3 houses, etc.
