My key was difficult to turn so I replaced ignition switch, the $20 wear item. Now, if I start the car, the Windshield and oil pressure lights come on. If I turn the key to off and restart motor, lights go away.
I don't have direct experience with this, but I've read that the cheap ignition switches are bad. The ones in the $30-$40 range are OEM. I think they're an Audi part.

The one I got was the Uro part brand. Just seems weird. Anybody else?

Any recommendations?
thanks in advance.
The thread title was a bit awkward for me. There is no oil pressure light for the windshield.
Do the two lights stay on while driving, or do they go away after a while?
My rear engine cover warning light comes on sometimes, but goes away after a short time. Have no explanation.

Uro has a reputation for providing less than the finest in quality. Might be worth the $40 to try an Audi or Porsche brand switch.

I thought the URO part was oem.....
Lights stay on. I then restart the car. Do you happen to have the Audi part number?

I got the part at the Audi dealership. $40 Canadian dollars. Changed it out yesterday and everything is normal again.
