Young911, welcome to the community. My, my, a 996 for your first car? Best of luck with that! Regarding idea #1, the three piece lip spoiler, save your money! The contour of the middle piece to the trunk lid is off, and the angle of the middle piece ends is off from the angle of the end pieces, looks kind of shoddy in my opinion. That's a lot wrong for $781 plus tax and shipping. May I suggest that money would be better spent addressing known mechanical issues with these cars, e.g. Intermediate Shaft bearing, Rear Main Seal, Air Oil Separator, Coolant Reservoir Tank, Cam Chain Tensioners, etc. My advice to you is to get the car sorted mechanically first, then address whatever cosmetic changes you would enjoy making. I'm not trying to harsh your mellow, but these are complex cars with a propensity to bite financially, so first things first. Personally, I was never a fan of big spoilers/wings on the back of these cars. I've added side skirts, front lip, rear diffuser, painted the wheels and lowered my own 996 as cosmetic touches, but I sorted it mechanically first, and you should too. These are great cars, and your taste in acquiring one is to be applauded, but they can get way expensive in a hurry if you don't do the right thing. Just sayin.
