Default More opinons on pricing my 996

99 C2 Coupe Manual
Ocean blue/ Savannah beige
162k miles

Body has parking lot door dings and rock chips, paint shines nicely
Previous left rear accident damage, repaired
Looks great from 10 feet +

Drivers seat has wear, other wise the interior is pretty clean

Suspension could use new shocks and struts, otherwise not bad

Radio doesn't work

brakes have basically new textar pads and rotors

Tires are old, should be replaced soon.

LSD, transmission doesn't pop out of gear

No service history other than what I've recently done:
Oil change
Spark plugs
Air fliter
SAI valves
Vacuum lines
AOS bellow
997 GT3 brake scoops
Horns
Airbag frame

Fresh emissions test

Due to mileage and relative lack of service history you're going to be around 9-10K is my guess.

Default Like you said , looks good from 10 ft

At that, you might ask 14,500. and see what you responses you get. I don't think I'd sell it for 9 or 10, (more than wholesale) but I'd drive it until it drops or drop the price.

At least fix radio, I'm sure you can find a free one on the site if asked.

Other things you can't fix cheaply, or shouldn't bother, Struts, bodywork, etc..

Let's be honest, you might find a young buck willing to purchase if you stuck a sign in the window.

You got full coverage

Thanks guys, I've had it up on craigslist and pelican as low as $8500, although it had some CEL codes from a broken vacuum line that I've since fixed. I've gotten some interest but not much.

I was expecting someone from the boxster or 944 crowd to use it as an easy step up but that doesnt seem to be the market at all.

The radio is a PCM 1 and every cheap one I've seen has the same blown backlight and no code problem mine does.

Where is this car located? I’m tempted to build a 996 trackish car.

Is there a link to an ad with more pics? Might know someone who'd be interested.

Wow. No interest in a high milage 996?
Had this been a 1983 911SC with 180,000 mies and similar cosmetic condition, you will have immediate interest at 28K$.
Crazy world.

Yeah there are a lot of people trying to squeeze into any aircooled car. I can't drive my 912E anywhere without someone trying to buy it.

It's actually nice being able to drive around in the 996 on the down low.

Link to the ad? Does the car show poorly up close meaning when its shown its not clean, looks ratty etc? I find it hard to believe you have this up for sale at $8500 and can't move it. Something seems off. All I can think is I'm in the market for a boat, went to look at one and he was at 28k. Looked great online, all other boats in that range would be 35-40k but when I went to see it he had it looking so ****ty my thoughts were even if its a great deal, if he couldn't be bothered to take his beer cans off from last year, what else was he too lazy to do? Not saying this is the case, just saying it could be the issue. His mentality was it was so cheap it didn't matter, that was months ago, he still hasn't cleaned it and still has it.
