I recently bought a 996.2 that reportedly came with a K40 installed. I see one dial and one LED in the footwell that I assume is part of the system. I know nothing about this system. How can I find out how to use it? I don’t even know what model it is to download any documentation. In a related note, I’m trying to track down a parasitic battery drain issue. I wonder if this guy might be the culprit.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i'd stop at a speed/performance shop who usually install upgraded stereos and radar detectors and ask them to help with the K40. they will most likely need to look inside front bumper to see the install and tell you what you got. check local laws because laser jammers aren't legal everywhere and you might have that feature along with radar detection. good luck

I never used my K40 enough to be able to provide any meaningful info, but the owners/install/wiring/etc. manuals are attached below.

Good information, thanks. My K40 display is integrated into my rear view mirror, along with my V1 display. It took me 8 years to locate the V1 module in my car and I've yet to find where the K40 module is. I find that the K40 is a good device for checking if there is an Infiniti or Lexus nearby and not so good for anything else. The wiring diagram should help me disable the front and rear diffusers.

Thanks for the info, everyone. I played with the system while tooling around town. Not a fan, way too sensitive and beeps constantly. I will probably keep it off unless on the interstate.
