Default Help power steering line

Hello I just installed a new engine in my 996 c4 manual. I went to start it and the smaller power steering line at the rear coupler blew apart. I believe there is supposed to be some sort of metal retaining clip in the connector that looks like a metal basket. Mine is missing this piece. Does anyone know the proper name for this part and where I can purchase one?

What year?
You blew out or left off an o-ring.

Default 2000 cab c4

It isn't an o ring I took the connector apart after it blew off of the hard line coming from the body side its missing the black clip that looks like a little metal basket. I just don't know the name of that clip or part number

I understand. Check your o-ring though and don't over tighten the lines.
The piece is a plastic inner locking clip (mine works fine with out)

I don't know if you can buy that piece alone but try calling Pelican Parts and ask.
