Default Front bumper questions

I have been looking for several months waiting to pull the trigger on a replacement bumper for the stock one on my car. I think this is the nicest most aggressive looking bumper given the choices.
My question is what have you guys who have replaced them used for screening?
What color, brand or type would be helpful.
I look forward to seeing some pictures.
I love this forum and the information we share.
All for one common purpose PORSCHE

Brian
That bumper has a lot going on.
It will not look right if you do not have Aero Skirts, even then, as OP stated, it appears too heavy for a 996.
Have you looked into factory Porsche options, like GT3 or 4s?
This is a Factory Aero/GT3 with a Cup Car Splitter

I have really looked at them all. I will definitely be buying skirts. I just have not test. I just love the aggressive look. The regular turbo bumper looks like a couple of big holes with no styling in my opinion. The red one in the image is a nice looking car but very similar to the stock look. At least in pictures anyway..
Not to mention that I can always remove it if I don’t like it. I have the c4s or turbo rear bumper already. Skirts will be the last thing I put on.
I do appreciate your insight. Gives me food for thought.
Thank you

But the post was mainly to ask those who use them or even have an opinion, what would look best in the openings.
I know of a few options already but there is so my knowledge here that I may find out about something I am not aware of.

I have rennline kit specific to my bumper. I guess your going to have to make your own with gutter gaurd or something like that. Mr. Raby suggests no screen.

Again that’s a nice bumper and so isn’t the stock bumper but for me they are to similar.
Thank you for your post

As of today I found two that I like.
Im still looking but these have anough meat to them to add character to the bumper because it will be seen not just small holes with color.

Bottom screen looks like it blocks close to 50% of surface area. Probably not such a great idea.

Radiator screen, if you choose to use it, is definitely a place where function should win over form.

I don’t disagree with you it brobably does have some blockage. One thing I am taking into consideration is that this bumpers has much more openings than stock. I believe it would be ok.
I was also thinking about the gentleman who there opinions of how it might look “too heavy” and “has a lot going on. I really do appreciate the insight and the way you put it. I have been pondering it all day. What this really does is makes me take more time to consider what need to be done to finish this look. I agree side skirts and possible more. Maybe some led lights. I am thinking on it. I have plenty of time. My painter can’t touch it for two weeks. So now I will see if I can find some quality used skirts.
Please keep the ideas coming. This forum is awesome.

I don’t even understand why the popcorn came out. Is it that this poster is trying to add drama unnecessarily?
I am just having a conversation looking for suggestions on how I can balance my car out and make it look as awesome as most of the other cars I see customized in here.
I don’t have a need with anyone not even the guy who eats to much popcorn.
911’s are great fun.

What are you, the forum police? Take your bone somewhere else...
I'm anxiously watching to see the transformation, like watching a good movie!
