The fragile, easily triggered, humorless, perpetually outraged, virtue signaling SJW crowd is apparently among us. Don't look at them or that too will cause triggering, but they're right behind you doing what they do best. It's just what they do.

I'm Canadian , a country in which making jokes about Americans is an industry unto itself .it doesn't matter if youre on the right or left, northern or southern , we make fun of all Americans regularly , and sharply.
do I post them here ? No , because that wouldn't make me a good guest , potentially offending the American forum host and many in the community .
it's not about some misguided social justice "snowflake" agenda .
its something as old fashioned as good manners and belonging to a community .

if that makes me subject to mockery , so be it .

That was a funny story! Thanks for sharing that. This quip regarding acquiescing to the whims of the offended party was especially appropriate in this situation: "We shouldn't take it down just because somebody doesn't like it."

This bugs me a little bit.... Speaking just for myself... I just can't think of more than one or two times in my entire life I've seen a woman driving a Porsche. I don't know what the stats are, but I'm guessing less than 5% of Porsches are driven by women? And generally speaking, is anyone going to suggest that women have the same appreciation for expensive sports cars more than guys? And from that, is it crazy to suggest that women - generally speaking - are just not as interested in cars as mechanical and aesthetic objects deserving special care and attention as guys? And that - generally speaking - they might be a little less concerned about paying attention to warning lights or odd noises or little signs of trouble - say, tensioner belt noises - that could lead to very expensive repairs if not caught early? I GUESS I've impugned women, here, but is there really NO basis for my doing so? I'm not saying they're not as smart, you know...

Not sure what you are getting at here.

I guess my wife must fall in the 5%. This is her, driving her Porsche. I'm going to guess you don't even have a girlfriend...
