Default How is it that my Hoolowspoke has two part number and sizes

Folks,

looking at a set of hollow spokes I have, how does this make sense.... check the back of the wheel image...there is an "A" part number and size and a "B" part number and size. What does that mean? (sorry about title spelling
)

The “A” wheels are 10J - 18
The “B” wheels are 9J - 18
You Can tell which ones you have by the “X” mark in the box cast into the spoke.
