Hello all,

Not too long ago I purchased what was at the time the cheapest running and driving 996 in the country (I think). One of the man little problems it has still is the power steering rack leaks a good amount due to bad seals. My question to everyone is; where would you suggest purchasing new seals from? I found a company called KLA Industries that offers a "rebuild package" for 996 racks ( http://www.klaindustries.net ). Does anyone have experience with this company? Thanks in advance for your help.

996 and 986 steering racks can be found all over Ebay for under $200 shipped from low mile cars. I would save myself the hassle and just order a good used one and pop that in. That's what I did when the rack on my '99 started leaking. It's only a 30 minute job, too.

I bought a refurbished one on Ebay with a lifetime warranty for ~~230.00 free shipping. You will have to send back you leaking rack.
It was 3 years ago and still works fine. Please note taht their lifetime waranty doesn't cover the labor.

Is 99634701110 a newer updated version that will still fit all those cars?
