Question for those that have replaced their center consoles, are the center consoles the same between all trim models of 996? i.e will a center console from a 996 Turbo S fit in a C4, or a C4S? Any differences between Tip/Manual?
I like those checkerboard mats. I have a pair of Vans that would go nicely with them.
My car’s interior was a sea of gray when I bought it so a lot of what I’ve done was to break that up.
Everything I’ve done is reversible in case I ever want to put it back to original.
A 3 spoke sport steering to replace the gray 4 spoke, black center console and a black shift ****/gaiter with 997 shifter.
The car had gray floor mats when I picked it up but it had black and gray Coco Mats in a box with extra parts so I put ‘em in.
I couldn’t see any reason why I would ever need a cigarette lighter so I swapped it out for a USB charger.
Also a new Continental head unit and Focal speaker upgrade.
I got a mat that covers the rear seat backs when they’re down. I wish I hadn’t picked red for the lettering though because there is nothing else red anywhere on the car so it looks a little out of place.
Insanely overpriced umbrella that will never get used.
It’s made specifically to go in the passenger side door sill cubby.
I also picked up a rear view mirror with a compass that I haven’t gotten around to installing.
Where did you get the piece for the usb charger port?
I posted this in my build thread but currently waiting for the “Sparco” script to be embroidered. This particular seat was one of the first Evo XL Carbons sold early this year. They sent to to Rod at Classic 9 to reupholster in something similar to Sparco’s Evo premium line. Rod is covering it in leather and suede with red sticking to match the Cup wheel. For now I’m only doing one seat. These will be added to a BBI base, should ship when I get off deployment in March.

I can say that I used the same console for the tip to manual swap in my C4S. My buddies C2 console would also fit right in.
