Bump stops and Top Mounts possible for "Clunk". Wheel bearing for "grind"?

More details (or better yet a video) would help.

Sway bar drop links and bushings for the clunk. At least that fixed it on my C2.

Why are there ball bearings at the top of the strut?

Is the car lowered? Maybe H&R Sport springs based on google search.

The bearings at the top of the front struts allow them to twist when the suspension is moving. The rear doesn’t have that. You need to keep contaminants out of that top mount bearing.

Yes, agreed.

I don't think C2 struts have them. What's the diff?

Hmmm. Might be right. I can't read the numbers.

Anyway, you are at least partially right and get credit. The other part of the answer to what kind of spring it is would be?

Broken.

I'm looking at options. I guess that's not unheard of. Is it common?

What's the story on top mount options? Time to replace them, 19 years is over due. OEM vs. aftermarket vs pillow ball?
