MY02's is the common term. Technically, I think they are Carrera II???
Yes when the 2002 996 was introduced they were called Carrera II wheels, don't know how the other names got adopted.

No matter what the name, they are the best looking factory wheel Porsche has made since the original Fuch.

That looks sinister Danizio! Love the stance. How's the ride quality?

Thanks! Wasn't bad. I recently raised it an inch in the rear and switched to 35 series side walls in the rear. Feels much better now.

Those Carrera II wheels are great. Had them on my car for a while, very light weight. Much lighter than the set of 18" 3pc Work wheels I have now.

Also had a set of those of my car before getting GT3 MK2 rims.
I still miss the look of them but the GT3 rims are the pinicale for me.
Also FYI these fit:
225 / 40 / R18 upfront
285 / 30 / R18 on the rear

Calendar shot!
Once I get the curb rash smoothed out, I'm going black!

yeah, when I took my rears off to be repaired I was surprised how light they were (with and w/o tires)

I don't have these wheels, but I admit the Carrera II BBS wheel are about the best looking and performing wheels you can get for the 996. And that blacked out look is truly awesome Danizio! Great photo!
