Default Rt615k in NB sizes for track?

Hi,

The (old) RT615k tire is available in stock NB sizes for cheap at tirerack. Sizes are 235 and 265 in 18".

sounds like a great DE and DD setup, cheap and trackable. Sure the Rs4 is going to be faster but want something affordable that lasts.

thoughts?

Just ordered a set for myself. It'll be my first time on the tire but all the Optima guys that I have spoken with adore that tire.

Really curious about this tire too, I’m looking for a tire for mainly DD and the occasional track and DE day.

Ive been looking at 235/275 front and rear, any real benefit of getting the extra width in the back or is it something you really wouldn’t notice?

I've been a fan of Dunlop Direzza ZII star spec Usually find good prices on them too. The hold up well and good traction. I've had a couple people comment in the car that thought I was running full track tires.
