Default Seat Cover Removal

Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the seat covers on a 996 (2003 C4S)? I'm thinking of adding heated seat elements to mine but I can't find anything online on how they are constructed or how to take the seats apart. While I'm in there I'll be fixing the lumbar mechanism since it stopped working as well so either the air pump is dead or the bag has failed. And... I'd like to replace some of the foam since the driver's side foam could use a little "fluffing". These are the standard seats, not the sport seats. Thanks for the help in advance.

Thanks. I've already seen these, but what I'm looking for is instructions (if they exist) on how to take the leather cover off the seat so I can add the heating elements to them. The video is good for showing how to take the seat upper off the lower, but I don't want to do that. I've found videos that show how to do what I'm looking to do for Toyota cars, so I was hoping there might be a Porsche version out there too.

I've installed heat in a few of my cars through the years. Most recently on a BMW, but I can't imagine the Porsche is that much different, especially considering they're both German. Seat construction and assembly is fairly similar across most manufacturers.

Here's a how-to I put together for the BMW.

Good stuff! Did you hook them directly to the battery? I was thinking that I wanted to put them on a power source that shut off when the car does so I don't forget and leave them on and come back to a fried seat.

Thanks. I did run wires directly from the battery (in the trunk on the BMW) and those wires have inline fuses. I don't remember the wire gauge but they're thick (10ga maybe?). However the individual switches are fed +12v from an unused accessory lead in the fusebox. That way the heaters can't inadvertently be left on when the car is off.

FYI The seat cushions come with the heating element in them. I bought a new lower one for my drivers side from the dealer for about $150.
