$19k might be a decent offer if I knew what the salvage was for. It really doesn't take much to salvage these cars. If I knew it has an LN IMS done, and the rest of the car checked out I might pay $19k if it was just a couple bent fenders.

Finding out what the reason for receiving a salvage title is important. Cars get salvage titles for reasons other than accidents. Could be a theft recovery.
Also, the reason why these cars don't make the best track cars is because of the oiling oil sump design. They starve for oil in severe turns. One of my cars had an engine failure due to this and it had the X51 oil pan baffle installed. There are some better options out there, but the stock setup is not recommended. Sad, but true.

Also could be a flood car which I would stay away from.

Ya I don't know much about why except what he told me. He bought at salvage auction. He said The guy who owned previously side swiped something and then got in a fight with the insurance company due to the cost of repair. Insurance ended up totaling it and wouldn't sell it back and that's how it was sold.
I guess if I really wanted it I could have a thorough inspection done. He said he would accept 18000 for it but if it checked out I still wouldn't pay more than 15000. So that's what I'll offer and see if he accepts. Pending and inspection.

Right rear is the place to get hit. Very unlikely to set off the airbags. Have a frame/body guy look up in there, and tell you what he finds.

I think you are in ballpark with 11K offer, 24K for a real C4S w that mileage. I would test the water with the offer, If he doesn't bite, walk and he'll come around later.
As far as Aero kit value, it's what someone will pay you for it.
I have salvaged a couple of cars over the years, They are a tough sell, if you own it. you will always get questions as to why.
You might have a hard time insuring it other than liability coverage.
AS far a tracking these, you can, but be careful and keep an eye on things. Lot's of people track them.

I know this is now a moot point, but just adding to the conversation. My car was sideswiped and had extensive damage. There was no collision impact, just a shredding of the driver's side. The insurance company assessed the damage at just under the amount that would have totaled it. The estimator miscalculated what it would cost to replace a Sport Techno wheel. When informed that the insurance company needed to fork over more money for the wheel, they were going to total it. The body shop worked with me to avoid that as they didn't want my car to get a salvage title. In my case, the difference between a clean title and a salvage title was a couple hundred dollars. So understanding why a car has a salvage title is important if you're planning to keep the car. If your plan is to sell it later on, then you will likely take a hit on the sale regardless of the reason for the salvage title.
