Default 02' 996 3.6 Turbo Custom

Guys I saw this car on ebay & was wondering what you thought about it! Is it worth $62k, it has 65k miles on it & it says it's a 3.6 turbo custom Gallardo 997 NSX Twin Turbo Supra Lotus? I need to hear from some of you that are a lot more knowledgeable than I am about a car like this! I sold my Really Nice 02' 996 a few months back & said when I do get another Porsche it was going to be a Turbo & a 997! I tried to post the Pics but I can't get them to load, but it's on ebay & it's a Lime/Turbo Green. Thanks

On eBay, folks put multiple car/product names in their listing to field more search results and thus get more views on their product. I personally would steer well clear of any modified 996, period. I would run like hell from this car particularly. There are users on these boards who have modified cars that were done exceptionally well. User lowpue's 996 modified by Dundon Motorsports being a prime example. But for that money, per your statement in your original post, I'd keep my eye on a clean 997 Turbo.

Best of luck with your search!

The "Gallardo 997 NSX Twin Turbo Supra Lotus" sucks big time. What you want is a "Huracan 997 NSX Twin Turbo Supra Lotus" -- those don't come up for sale very often, but they are well worth the wait.

It's impossible to be certain without an inspection, but the quality of the customization work seems to be top notch. Whether it's to your taste or not is a different question, but it seems unlikely that it's a lousy car that they customized to cover the flaws. It would still make sense to get a PPI. I love 996 headlights, but if you dislike them that much, why not get a 997? Customization generally lowers the value as compared to stock unless it's done perfectly to impeccable taste. Some elements of this car are stylistically controversial -- it looks great now because everything is new and perfect, but it may not age as well. To me, the only way this car makes sense is if you absolutely love the mods. If you are lukewarm on the mods, it probably makes sense to get something else (with headlights you like).

Very nice, but a bit overpriced IMHO.

Never been a fan of those rear bumpers, otherwise car is nicely done. Overpriced though.
