996 tiptronic reverse switch replacement
Hi everyone. I need to replace the reverse switch on my 996 mk2 tiptronic.
i read somewhere that on tiptronic cars you reach the switch by removing the central console.
Anybody has done this before or know how to do that?
Thank you very much.

Remove center console. search procedure...take 20-30 min. very straight forward. Leave the key in and parking brakes on. Leave in N gear.
Switch is on driver side just right of the shift **** at the base of the console.
It a rectangular box. 2 screws and 3 wiring harness that you have to detach.
Open the switch box and you'll see the 2 metal plates that need to be adjusted. Bend a little to make sure they contact when it goes into R....or you can just replace the whole unit.
It's straight forward and you can't mess it up
