The trend I see in the responses and the BS I got from my dealer were
The Cert of Authenticity was a program the PCNA was running at the time
A time period in 02, as it was in the trunk of my 02 S, that I bought in 03.
Later when I got it home there was a certificate that you sent in for the Pylon with your VIN # on it. I sent it in and 3 months later this box shows up with it inside.
Pretty cool Wished it had the Boxster S in between the Porsche script and VIN #.
Got it next to a Model of the S and a 550 spyder both in silver.
Nice conversation piece.
Dealer did give me a great deal on the Litronic's ($995 - $100 Parts coupon for $895.00 self installed).

I got key chains and cups with my wife's Audi and a M3 hat and key chain with the M3. I received a great Porsche with a nonfunctioning PCM II and a promise to fix it!

I just got one..
I got a birthday card and a laminated certificated of authenticity from my Porsche dealer (Jim Ellis) today. Pretty cool, even gave the day my car was born 3/10/2003. I guess I need to buy my Porsche a birthday gift in a couple of months. Still looking for the obelisk with the VIN to show up any day now.

I was given a key ring with the crest on it when I picked up my car - nice, being that I probably would have bought it anyway. The manager of the dealership did tell me that the individual who referred me there was given a jacket. The difference was that this was my first car ('03 C2 Cab) and he had already bought a few cars from them. Maybe when I get my turbo they'll give me an "upgrade" on my thank you gift.

My salesguy gave me a Carrera keyring, aluminum box-O-tequipment cleaning/detailing stuff, picture of me next to my new car in the Porsche delivery room, lunch at the Porsche restaurant (twice), Cayenne cookbook and a tour of the factory. But that's about it.
