Does anybody know if there is an indicator in the VIN for AWD (Carrera 4), or is it reflected on the options sticker?

Except in rare circumstances, it doesn't look like you can tell about AWD from the VIN. For MY99 there are separate entries for C2 and C4, but the VIN codes and serial number ranges are (mostly) the same. For MY00+ C2 and C4 are grouped together.

I was a little confused when I ran a Carfax on a 99 Cab and it came up with "Carrera 2/4", and the car is RWD.
