My front hood latch is stuck, I believe this is due to improper placement of the spare tire. It like the hood latch is pressed hard against the locking mechanism becuase the spare tire is not in right.

Anyway, for the life of me I can't get it to open.

Anyone know how to circumvent this?

I had a similar problem, had to replace my hood latch as many others have, try this thread. or search "hood latch" for others.
