Hello everyone. I am planning on purchasing a metropol blue center console from Suncoast Porsche. It's my car's OEM interior color. My questions is has anyone placed a layer of protective film or sprayed a lacquer as a way to preserve the finish. I'm on my second console and find that the finish just doesn't hold up. Not interested in leather or carbon fiber. Others have painted the console the color of the exterior but I'm interested in keeping the look original (not white).

Try a can of gloss clear from Automotive Touchup. That will add a good coat of protection to it.

What about Xpel? if its good enough for the exterior it should hold up on the interior

People have vinyl wrapped their consoles, so Xpel might work.
