It might be worth $10K if you want an LS swapped 996.
The car, and the Renegade swap kit is probably worth that.
At least you might have a rebuildable LS, or an LS core.
I imagine someone will pay $10K for it.

I wonder what Tavarish paid for the crispy Ferrari.

All this talk about doing the LS swap to make a 996 more reliable. They grenade too just like the odd M96.

Someone from Hoovie's cult will pay $10,000. Poor sap.

If the swap was done well, which is debatable, then its totally worth that.

As I recall, he installed a LS-2 instead of a LS-3, which resulted in having to add an additional gauge or two to the steering column. I would plan on scrapping the LS-2 and installing a new crate motor. It's probably worth 10k, but that's all the money in my opinion.

This Hoovie character's 996 Frankenstein is a perfect example of turning a sow's ear into barbecue. I have a associate that owns a nice 1999 Carrera Coupe with 142K miles that is willing to sell it for $15,000. It's not perfect, but far better all around than Hoovie's monstrosity. I would think it would make better sense to just replace the car or find a donor like 808Bill did with his Hawaiian roller. But I presume that would not make for a popular YouTube channel then.

So...a 1999 with 248,000+ miles + used a renegade hybrid kit = $10K

Keeping in mind that, since he bought it for $9,500.00 (with a running engine) he has done little more than put the cheapest LS he could find into it, and abuse it.

If my memory serves me well, he has almost $30,000 in the car when you had the costs of the LS motor, plus whatever he gave the "wizard" to install it.

Yeah, I forgot that it had a ton of miles on it.
He did add a ducktail, but he didn't paint it.

There are certainly better candidates for an LS swap.
I think I'll keep a flat six in my 996.

I would never swap an LS for relaibility.
IMHO the only reasons to LS swap are for cheap HP and so you can use cheaper engine parts.
The V8 sound is nice, but I think my flat six with Fabspeed exhaust sounds even better!

He's a KOOK! I wouldn't touch that car unless it was under $3K.
