Rear view mirror "wobbles"

Gang:

My rear view mirror is not solid on the post that attaches it to the windshield. You go to adjust it and it has a lot of slop movement to it.

Any way to tighten it up?

Take it off and inspect the retaining clip.

Thanks, I will double check that. Bit I am almost positive it is wobbling where the ball goes into the mirror.
