Here is a link to the ZIP file with all of the CDs in it. http://nav.thefleshrocket.com:81/911...ll_US_Maps.zip This is thanks to George_B, who uploaded them to me.
When you burn each CD, you need to make sure that the CD's label matches the content. IE, CD_2716 as the label for the California/Nevada disc. If you don't, the disc won't work. (For example, the first disc I burned, I left it as "My Disc" and the nav system wouldn't read it.
DO NOT use CDRWs, only CDRs. Make sure that if your burning software has a "leave disc open to add future data", that you uncheck it.
If you don't have a CD burning program, here is a link to an old freeware version of Nero Burning ROM: http://nav.thefleshrocket.com:81/Nero/Nero93.zip (The only thing you need to install is Nero Express Essentials--the rest is a bunch of crap you don't need.)
I've read that these maps suck and.. yeah. I live in Carbondale, IL. There are, of course, dozens of streets. I just burned the "central states" disc (I thought we were part of Midwest & Ohio Valley, but that didn't work for me) and when I punch in Carbondale, it gives me literally 14 streets to choose from. I may be doing something wrong, but it seems likely that these maps are exceedingly rudimentary. Worth noting is that each CD only has 200-300MB of data, and a CD can hold between 650-700MB of data. So Porsche obviously split up the US into WAY more CDs than it should have if it packaged things properly.

Brian, see my post right above yours with a link to download a ZIP file with all 7 CDs. As long as you have a CDR and a CD burner in your computer, you should be able to burn any of those CDs for use in your PCM 1.0 system.

@thefleshrocket Thanks for sharing the image files! I have a 2002 build date of 3/2002 and only had the Northwest disc 2 so had never had the pleasure of using PCM.
I'm in Virginia, so I burned the image that you uploaded for the New England / Mid-Atlantic region and got it to work! The unit did display briefly an "Updating Software." message on screen when I used your disc image.
Interestingly, I tried that file that @George_B uploaded first and couldn't get them to work. I did use CDRs as recommended - no love. I noticed that the filenames and extensions were all in lowercase in George's set, and the CD Name differed - yours was CD_3770 and the full set disc 6 for NE/Mid-Atlantic was CD_2721.
I just did a fun 2k mile roadtrip - thinking it would be entertaining to see if I could actually use these on a long roadtrip - anyone have any suggestions on getting the rest of the discs working?

Thanks to thefleshrocket for sharing the files and George_B for uploading the data, I was able to burn each of the nav CDs using the data from the zip file and confirmed that disc 2 worked for my friend's '02 996 with PCM 1. (We're based in Seattle).
I still have a ton of blank CDs, and would be willing to burn more sets for anyone who finds this post in the future.

I believe you need Disk 7 Southeast. Happy to include the 6 other disks as well in case you want to travel elsewhere. How much do you think this service is worth? I'm not looking to make money on it, but I would like to cover my costs and have some compensation for the effort involved.

Sure, would be happy to. I have burnt a few sets of these, happy to send to others as well.
