If anyone has a side vent, drivers or passengers laying around could you please take a good close up pic of the reverse side?

I want to see how the vent louvers are held in there.

Thanks, just saw the pics. Yeah, I don't want to tackle that.

 

I rebuilt the one on the Drivers side, it is a bit of a PITA to get out and fiddly, but I was able to reattach the horizontal vents to the arm.

 

I bought one to play with and took the vertical bars out with difficulty. I want to create the Alumalook. Problem is, they are such a bitch to get back in that the silver finish I applied wasn't perfect when done. Not sure where I am going to go with this but I am not completely quitting just yet. I didn't break them putting them in so there may yet be hope;.

You basically have to break it to get the mechanism off the part you can see from the cockpit. It is sort of weld glued together..
