What the heck are these wires?
While taking the panels off to install a bluetooth adapter I find this spaghetti mess of wires. It looks like a previous owner had something installed, what exactly I haven't a clue.
It seems like they tapped into the phone adapter for power, but it doesn't seem to go anywhere.
There is a external mic clipped under the drivers sun visor, and what appears to be a satellite antenna stuck to the inside of the windshield (see pic below)
I'm a little scared to start snipping.
What do you'all think? Should I remove it all?
Satellite antenna?
spaghetti mess
Phone connector?
What is this connector?
Seems they put a relay in...

Oh boy... I won't even comment on what might have been there - I think you're probably pretty close with an early mobile phone. Does everything seem to be working correctly in your car? If so, consider yourself lucky, and be very careful if/when you change anything. Take photo's of it in working condition (remove tape/covering so you can see which wires are connected to which) before taking anything apart or tapping into existing wires. Good luck

That looks like an old Motorola cellphone connector.

Thanks for helping me be brave! I traced all the wires to their source and removed it all! There was some kind of Motorola control box mounted underneath the dash...
All gone!
Oh, and the Tranzit Bluetooth unit works great!
