Triing to get the best tire match for my c4s not to burn the diff. Trying to get the lowest difference in rev/mile on 19 wheels. Currently I have 235×35×19 front and 305x30×19 rear. This is giving me a 15 difference, if I go to 225x40×19 and 295x30x19 o get a 4 difference. My question is do you think I can fit a 225x40x19 tire? Vertically it looks like I have the clearance, I am more worried when I turn the wheel it will run at the front of the wheel well.

Your math is wrong. 235/35 vs 305/30 is a little under 3% difference. Keep the combo you have.

I have 245/35/19 on my front and don't get any rubbing. Prior to that I had 235/35 in front paired with 295/30 in the rear.
