Default 17" twist wheels on a 996TT?

I have a 2003 996 turbo I would like to use this winter and am trying to find rims and snow tires for it. The documentation I have found indicates the Carrera and Carrera 4 ran 17” rims which are narrower (7J and 9J). Can these be run on my twin turbo? Will they clear the brakes? I only have big jumbo aftermarket rims so need to buy used ones. I found some 17" in good condition and a good price. Narrow tires give more bite in snow so that is a benefit as well. Any info would be appreciated. I am in Northern BC, Canada.

No, unfortunately the Turbo brakes are too large for a 17" to clear.

Thanks very much for that, Saved me the hassle of paying the money and making the mistake!
