stupid question
I was driving out in the boonies the other day and the road was wet. I wonderd if I could spin all 4 of the wheels with PSM off. I did not want to hurt the clutch so I launched gingerly and then stepped on it...
The car behaved weirdly... the back end seemed to bounce up and down and lurch forward unevenly, making a weird cu-chug noise. I heard a bit of tire squeel and then I just gave up and let off the gas. Car drove nominally after that.
It was not what I expected. I was expecting the tires to spin and catch progressively. I've got M2 snows on and it was 33 degrees out.
In theory, how is a C4 to behave in that situation? Does the bounching and weird pulsating noises (not PSM noise) mean something's wrong with my VC?
I know this is a weird question, but I'm a weird guy!

The C4 uses the brakes to simulate a rear end mechanical LSD, it's more likely you heard that, or maybe even the both rear wheels were slipping and TRAC activated. Turning off PSM does not disable the "TRAC" aspects.
33F and WET. Did the temperature rise to 33F or fall toward?
