A Tale of Two Porsches

I'm in the same situation. I previously owned a black 4x4 Frontier Pro 4x and after I sold it I swore I would never own a black vehicle again. In fact I've only had white vehicles since, except for my green project Jeep. But I digress...
I am now in the midst of deciding on whether or not I can handle a black Carrera that is already lightly peppered on the front end. Will it drive me insane or cause me to not nitpick over every little speck that gets on it!? The car is 500 miles away and I have only seen pictures...that are not, shall we say, definitive of what it actually looks like. The car checks all my boxes and passed a PPI so now it's decision time.

Learn to look after it properly (that means being meticulous about washing technique), learn to do your own paint corrections and protection(or at least keep it corrected after a good detailing), and it will reward in spades.
In short:
1 - soft nozzle pressure washer rinse
2 - snowfoam
3 - soft nozzle pressure washer rinse
4 - pH neutral mitt wash - 2 bucket technique - never EVER mitt a car covered in mud/grit/dirt - instant swirling with one wipe!
5 - soft nozzle pressure washer rinse
6 - large soft microfibre towel off
7 - stand back and enjoy!

Hopefully in the next few days. It's on another island at the moment, the owners just dropped $2k getting it ready (needed a new oil cooler).
MBH911, I did not intend to hijack your post and apologize, I was sharing your excitement with my own (been 1.5 year search)

Back on topic, that cabriolet looks killer with the black wheels and I'm generally not a fan of black on black.

That sucks. I guess there’s no guarantees with this whole endeavor. I spent $250 on a PPI a few weeks ago on another 996 and they said the car needed $4800 worth of repairs. The seller would only come down $500 off his asking price of $18,000 so I walked. The PPI was money well spent.
