Default quick tire spacing question

Hi guys... and girls .. maybe I didn't want to post this question in my build thread as its just a quick q. If I added 2" on each side to my wheel wells for the wide body what spacing am I looking for as far as rims. If I understand this spacing stuff correctly the back spacing is from the inside of the rim where it mates to the rotor to the inside outer lip of the rim by the motor correct. if my car is still stock that way which it is what is my front spacing. I'm sorry guys for a non sensible question but I've never grasped this lol

my car is a
1999 Carrera

Thank you

Not sure about adding 2" out but I am running the following for my track wheels on my narrow body C2.

Front - ET53 with 15mm spacers (making it ET38) on 18x8.5 wheels and 245 tires
Rear - ET63 on 18x12 wheels with 315 tires.

I did have the rear fenders rolled to clear the 12's in the back....it did clear without rolling but it was close enough in a hard turn I may have seen rubbing.

You should be able to go with an et45 or et40 and 12" rim.
