Default 997 SSK question

i purchased a used 997 SSK to install in my 996.

looks like it’s in good shape but I think it may be missing a couple parts under the linkage. Can someone with the know how take a look and let me know if I need extra parts to make this work?

thanks so much

You might want to pick up the alignment tool too. It's part # 00072196191 Shift Cable Lock Bridge

Any idea what the parts missing are called or the part numbers? I hope can be ordered at the dealer individually.

Thanks for for the tip on the install tool. Prob well worth the 5 bucks.

They're not missing per se. You can use your old ones. If your car is higher mileage, you might want to replace them though.

There is a small black pin that holds the round cable holder in place.

Can't see if it's there if it is it just pulls out if not reuse the one on your original shifter.

Do you know if these parts are the same on all variations of 996/997 or do I need to order ones for the 997 SSK specifically?

They are the same, regardless of shifter type. They also require a small amount of white lithium grease on the contact surfaces (not on the cable ends).
