I ordered one of each, and have already received them.

Chris’s 3D printed tool is a unique design.
I like how it is hollow inside so you can see the seal and crank better.

In my opinion, Diamond Blue’s will last longer if used repeatedly. (like in a shop)
It could hold up better to being tapped with a hammer if necessary.

They’re both SO much cheaper than the factory tool that I don’t mind owning both.

They are both going in my IMS/RMS Toolkit:

Looking to replace my RMS soon. Does anyone still have their version of a tool available? Or are there any plans out there where I can build my own?

Thanks!

I bought both designs just a couple of months ago.
Send them both (Chris(MA) and Diamond Blue) a private message.
Take a look at my post just above yours to see my thoughts about both designs.

A question regarding the rms seal itself. I was under the impression that the replacement seal was an o-ring. I've ordered a new seal and it looks like the u shaped seal with a blue plastic piece as pictured in one of the posts by diamondblue above. So to insert this seal, you place it on the tool as shown and then insert to the correct depth? I'm not sure where I came up with the o ring idea but i guess this will be pretty straight forward once I have it all apart. Any diy showing this step by step?

The Knowledge Gruppe recently uploaded a quick overview of installing a RMS. You'll see the genuine Porsche RMS in the video.
