New Pin for clutch fork longer?

Confused on why new pin longer than stock one that is in there? I purchased updated clutch fork/ arm from pelican- any help appreciated

I remember on my 1999, that was was a TSB out to upgrade the clutch fork attachment pin. I believe the original was kind of T shaped and the new one was not and was actually stronger at the attachment points.

I looked at the difference between the two clutch arms / forks - the updated one vs stock is the difference in pin lengths- New not as thick where the slave cyl pin hits as stock arm

There are multiple parts that need to be replaced, not just the updated pin.

Here is the TSB for replacing those parts. Hope it helps.
